Great Cakes Soapworks is having some fun on her blog. She has asked for and received suggestions for nominations for several categories of soap blogs and has published her nominations on her blog. She is now inviting people to vote. Like a lady, she hasn't nominated her own blog, although it is quite worthy of a few nominations. My blog was nominated in two categories and I am tickled pink :)
Many of my absolute favorites are also there, but some are unfortunately missing. There are so many good blogs out there and it is hard to pick just a few. I wasn't quick enough to nominate, but I have voted. Sometimes it was easy and sometimes I had a really hard time to pick just one.
But...... Go on!......Have some fun!......
Vote for YOUR favorite blogs. There are a few categories so you get to vote for a few.
Voting is open until 10 pm March 7th CST so go vote, it's fun.
I started this blog as a soap blog, but I have many other interests. Lately I have not made as many soaps as I used to, but I have become more interested in natural dyeing and old handiwork. You may also see posts about gardening, baking, DIY and anything else that takes my fancy.

I bought this fantastic linen yarn on a cone. It was quite fine and I usually like chunky yarns to knit. But I love linen and this was a...

Oh, I'm so sad that I didn't get to see your nominations! This has been such fun, that I'm likely to make it an annual event. 126 voters so far - thanks for spreading the word!
ReplyDeleteAmy, I think that is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteEvery industry seems to have and award at this time of year, so why not :)
I would love to add a "foreign" category for all the bloggers who blog in other languages. With Google translate it is possible to understand much of it - although some translations are still gibberish. But there are some fantastic blogs out there that are well worth following.
Ambra - I just love the photo you posted here! Are they your soaps? Which ones and what are those beautiful round things in the middle?
ReplyDeleteAlso, almost forgot to ask - how was that glorious Caribbean sailing holiday??? I did that once and it was unforgettable. We chartered a small boat in the Florida keys (almost too shallow) but it was wonderful. I look foward to hearing about your trip!! xo Jen
Thanks Jen. Yes, those are mine. The flowers in the middle are the dried flower heads of the Chamomile variety (Matricaria maritima) we have here. That soap had Annatto seed infused oil and Ylang Ylang and silk. I loved that soap. I used it for my hair even if it had no Castor oil. I need to make that again. The others are milk soap with peppermint on the left and Rumex oil on the right.
ReplyDeleteThe holiday was more cruise than sails. It suits us perfectly: My hubby can stay on the ship and read and I (always insatiably curious) can go explore. Nice to escape to a warm climate in February.
